E-learning

blackboardBecause there is more to an e-learning product than a simple website offering educational content, we work at E-nova with confirmed teachers, experts conceivers in e-learning and experienced programmers. Thus, we bring to your project the strength to run it with the right persons for the right needs.

The tutor

The tutor is a human factor in the center of the learning process, the pillar of the method. He must be given the same attention the one granted to the student. A badly conceived tool, a non-pleasant interface and less ergonomic device can quickly create frustration and demotivate the teachers, thus influencing negatively the rest of the learning process.

We conceive clear interfaces which are adapted for people with less knowledge in computer, and replace the accent on what it should originally be : the learning, and not the software use. The tool gets forgotten to leave place for the educational content, the student and his tutor hence can concentrate on the main point : learning.

The E of e-learning

The e-learning is as its name indicates a learning method that uses internet intensively. So far, nothing's up you may think ? May be, but in watching the different actors in the e-learning market we sometimes wonder if the web has become just a huge container for courses in numerical formats... We don't imagine things the same way, our approach to e-learning is totally different. We think that web is an answer to higher requirements in terms of interactivity and dynamism and shouldn't be used just as an adjunct to paper lessons. We are very aware of the possibilities offered by this awesome means, we offer a human approach to e-learning where the user is at the center and not anymore a helpless victim of the learning platform.

  • From the student's point of view, the following elements are important to help understanding: diversified exercises and activities, dynamics, auto-correction or tutor correction, online courses equipped with multimedia content (flash, javascript/mootools/etc..), clear and quick shortcuts to ask one's questions from the right persons, a virtual companion bringing follow-up and answers at the right moment. instant messages for frequent interactions with all the people (students, teachers, faculty). And more again...
  • From the teacher's point of view, in addition to the tools traditionally offered, a true student follow-up method is suggested in shape of graphs, logs, instant messages. The tutor can hence at a glance get the picture of a student's situation, his gaps, his progress, his learning speed. He can be warned by automatic alerts of eventual failures in key parts of the teaching method (helping him to identifiy where his gaps are ), provide of one's own discretion custom exercises and activities for a student having a difficulty through the integrated activities generator.

This is the real plus of E-learning, to provide extra tools and skills to the teacher, which wouldn't be available during a real class.
